Microblading
Over the past decade, the practice of getting your eyebrows microblade has become more and more trendy. Microblading is the use of a superfine pen that contains a bundle of 10 to fifteen needles to create markings on the skin. Unlike getting tattoos, microblading is applied to the surface of the skin and doesn’t go anywhere beyond the dermis to create permanent markings on the skin as a tattoo would. Microblading has quickly grown popular due to its durability and low maintenance. While microblading can come off as painful, the results are worth it in the end.
Why should you consider Microblading?
Getting tired of constantly throwing away money for a new brow pencil or brow gel and being worried the pigment won’t last all day? Microblading provides a natural and full look to your eyebrows without having to constantly replace your brow pencil, and we can ensure microblading will last you more than a day. Microblading is perfect if you’re in a rush while getting ready because you won’t have to worry about fixing your eyebrows right before heading to work or your afternoon Zumba session.
The Microblading process
Before anything, we always make sure your eyebrows are numbed and sanitized to ensure your comfort and safety. We will then proceed to ask you what eyebrow shape you are looking for. Afterward, we will continue on by outlining the shape of your eyebrow to make sure we provide you with perfect results. This is where the fun begins. In order to microblade, we go in with our microblading pen and go in with small cuts on the eyebrow and apply our ink to make sure the results will last. While this process can be time-consuming, we like to make sure our customers come out with natural-looking eyebrows that fit their face shape perfectly.
The healing process and aftercare
With microblading, there comes a healing process due to the tiny incisions made in the eyebrows. The healing process of microblading may seem like a lot, but we can ensure that it’s worth it. For the first week, you can expect things such as swollen eyebrows and scabbing. While picking at the scabs can be tempting, try your best not to. The color of your eyebrows may begin to change and you might think the color is wrong, it’s not! Trust the process. Once the color is back, your eyebrows may look tacky, but after a quick touch-up, your eyebrows will bloom from a caterpillar to a butterfly in no time!
After your microblading appointment, make sure to keep your newly microbladed eyebrows well-kempt. Keep your eyebrows away from wet areas such as pools, saunas, excessive amounts of sweat, and avoid water on your face while showering for over a week. Try to avoid putting on makeup for about a week due to the pigments setting into the cuts placed on your skin.
How long will they last?
Microblading is a semi-permanent process, meaning that it won’t last forever. Depending on your skin type, sun exposure, and lifestyle your microblading job can last from one to three years. Nevertheless, you will still need to attend touchups in that time frame in order to keep your butterflies from transforming back into caterpillars
